Timothee Chalamet enjoys a coffee break in the rain while filming Wonka with Tom Davis in Bath

Timothee Chalamet looked in character as he filmed scenes for Wonka in Bath on Thursday.

The actor, 25, is taking on the lead role of Willy Wonka in the fantasy film which serves as a prequel to Roald Dahl’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.  

Timothee enjoyed a coffee break in the rain under an umbrella and was also joined on set by co-star Tom Davis.

The star sported his character’s familiar costume, of a purple coat and a beige pinstriped suit.

He also sported a dark grey scarf and brown distressed leather boots in keeping with his characters shabby attire. 

The actor appeared to be wet and also donned an extra brown coat over his costume. 

Timothee warmed up with a coffee and wore a plastic face visor in between scenes.

At one point Timothee seemed to get direction from a crew member as he stood on steps covered in fake snow. 

More fake snow was blasted onto the grounds with by a large industrial machine. 

Last week the Wonka cast were spotted filming in Lyme Regis, Dorset.

He also posted a snap of his famous cane, while sharing one of the more iconic lines from the original film, 1971’s Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.

‘The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last …’ Chalamet said in the caption of his post, along with a factory emoji, a chocolate bar emoji and the #Wonka hashtag.

Paul King directs the prequel from a script he co-wrote with Simon Farnaby (who also stars) and Simon Rich.

Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the rights to the Willy Wonka character back in 2016 with director Paul’s involvement confirmed in 2018.

That same year, it was reported that the list of actors in line to play Wonka included Ryan Gosling, Donald Glover and Ezra Miller.
