Timothee Chalamet set to reunite with Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino for Bones & All

Timothée Chalamet will be reuniting with Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino for the upcoming cannibal love story Bones & All.

The film, according to THR, follows the story of Maren Yearly who embarks on ‘a cross-country trip as she searches for the father she’s never met in an attempt to understand why she has the urge to kill and eat the people that love her.’

Absent from the project is Chalamet’s CMBYN co-star Armie Hammer, who happens to be embroiled in a real life ‘cannibal’ controversy of his own after disturbing direct messages allegedly sent by the actor were leaked in early January.

The messages described some alarming sexual fantasies, including cannibalism: ‘I am 100% a cannibal. I want to eat you. F***. That’s scary to admit. I’ve never admitted that before.’

Shortly after news broke about Bones & All, Hammer’s estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers took it upon herself to comment publicly on the film’s untimely premise.

‘No. Words,’ wrote the 38-year-old TV personality, who left the remark under an Instagram post by JustJared reporting on Armie’s obvious absence from the project.

Hammer previously announced his split from Chambers on Instagram in July, writing: ‘Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents.

‘It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage.’

The pair originally tied the knot in May of 2010, and they share daughter Harper Grace, six, and son Ford Armand, four.

Since splitting, Chambers has been hunkering down in the Cayman Islands with her two children, which has hopefully kept them out of ear shot of the current rumors swirling about their father’s alleged sexual deviancy.

In response to the disturbing direct messages that were leaked, Armie wrote in a statement to People: ‘I’m not responding to these bulls*** claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.’

Bones & All would mark a reunion for Chalamet and Guadagnino, who directed him and Hammer, 34, in the Oscar-winning 2017 CMBYN, based on the 2007 novel of the same name by André Aciman.

Set in the ’80s, the critically-acclaimed film followed the life-changing summer fling between 17-year-old Elio (Chalamet) and 24-year-old grad student Oliver (Hammer), who’s staying with his family in Italy while apprenticing Elio’s father.

There’s been steady talk of a sequel since the movie was released, as Guadagnino has expressed interest in setting and filming each installment years apart, as Richard Linklater did with his Before trilogy.

He’s also mentioned the possibility of casting Dakota Johnson (whom he directed in 2015’s A Bigger Splash and 2018’s Suspira remake) as Oliver’s wife in a potential sequel.

Hammer and Chalamet have both discussed returning for a second film, as the former told Pride.com in October: ‘I hope it all happens. I haven’t seen the script yet. But, you know, we’ll see. Hopefully, we all get to do it. It’d be great if we could.’
