Today host Allison Langdon reunites with her mother after Sydney’s lockdown

Like many other Sydneysiders, Today host Allison Langdon has finally been able to visit her mother again following the end of a gruelling lockdown.

On Sunday, the 42-year-old shared a sweet photo to Instagram of the pair cooling off in the pool, alongside her two children, son Mack, four, and daughter Scout, three.

Looking sensational in a black swimsuit and cap, Allison couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she carried Mack on her hip and enjoyed quality time with her family.

Allison’s mother also beamed in the snap and proudly held onto little Scout, who wore a cute rash vest with hoodie.

‘We have missed you like crazy nanny!!! They haven’t let her out of their sight all weekend,’ she captioned the post, alongside the hashtags ‘mums are the best’ and ‘post lockdown’.

Allison shares her two young children with husband Michael Willesee Jr., who she wed in 2008.

Since October 11, New South Wales residents who have received two doses of a Covid vaccine, have been able to reunite with loved ones.

Restrictions lifted following the achievement of the 70 per cent double dose vaccination milestone.

Allison’s family reunion comes after reports claimed Allison and co-host Karl Stefanovic, 47, have renewed their contracts with Nine – with new salaries to reflect the show’s surge in popularity.

The breakfast TV stars have reportedly secured deals worth $1.8million each after the program grew its audience to become competitive with Channel Seven’s Sunrise for the first time in years.

The one-year contract extensions will come into effect in 2022, according to Woman’s Day.

Reports both hosts are getting the same salary will no doubt irk former Today co-anchor Lisa Wilkinson, 61, who famously quit the show in 2017 because she wasn’t earning as much as Karl.

Karl and Allison were seen visiting accountant Anthony Bell’s home earlier this month, prompting rumours they were there to renegotiate their contracts.

A network insider told Woman’s Day: ‘They’ve found their momentum and they want more money.’

‘They continue winning week after week in prime markets like Sydney. They’ve finally found their groove,’ the source added.

‘They’ve timed it perfectly so they can leverage their ongoing ratings success. They asked for $1.8million each.’

Prior to their rumoured raise, Karl was believed to be earning about $1.2million, while Allison has almost doubled her salary.

Channel Nine declined to comment.

It comes after Karl’s highly publicised pay dispute with former co-host Lisa, who abruptly left the show in 2017.

The veteran TV host walked from the network after trying and failing to achieve pay parity with Karl.

In her new autobiography, It Wasn’t Meant to Be Like This, Lisa detailed how Karl had convinced her to approach the network for more money, explaining that if they weren’t given pay parity, they’d both quit.

She later discovered Karl had signed a $2million deal with Nine amid rumours he was planning to move across to Channel Seven.

‘He had played both networks off against each other brilliantly and in full public view. There was no doubt about it: Karl certainly knew the art of the deal,’ she wrote in a book excerpt published by The Daily Telegraph.

According to Woman’s Day, however, Karl has learnt from his past mistakes and now realises ‘his secret weapon to survival on the show is Ally’.
