Total Bellas: Nikki Bella conceived her son Matteo at her sister Brie’s house

Former WWE superstar Nikki Bella has revealed she conceived her son, Matteo, in the guest room of twin sister Brie’s home.

The 36-year-old pro-wrestler turned reality star made the surprise confession while appearing on Australia’s Today Extra on Tuesday.

‘What’s really funny is that I ended up conceiving at Brie’s house,’ Nikki said, as Brie looked rather shocked by the admission.

‘Thanks! I have a good guest room, I guess,’ Brie replied, before the Total Bellas stars laughed together. 

Nikki and Brie both welcomed sons in July, just a day apart. The pair admitted it wasn’t planned to have their children at the same time. 

‘It just happened in twin land. It’s crazy because we both weren’t trying,’ Brie said. ‘When I found out I was pregnant, she found out two days later.’

Brie admitted that having her son, Buddy, so close to Nikki’s son, Matteo, meant it was almost like having twins again for their family. 

‘The way that Buddy came in so closely after Matteo, it made my mum feel like she was having twins all over again,’ Brie said.

‘It was just really special for our whole family.’

Nikki is married to Dancing with the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev, while Brie is married to wrestler Daniel Bryan, whose real name is Bryan Danielson. 

The duo agreed it was a blessing having children so close in age.

‘They are literally like twin boys,’ Nikki said.

‘It is cute when you see them together. You can tell they really calm each other and they hold each other’s hand. They do act like brothers.’

Turning their attention to their professional careers, the women said they were thrilled to be inductees to the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame.

‘Oh gosh, you know, we worked so hard at WWE, every Superstar does. You put [your] blood, sweat and tears in it,’ Brie said.

‘When you get the call saying they want to induct you, it gives me goose bump is, it just makes you feel like everything you did was right and special.’

‘It is hard to explain the feelings but it really meant the world.’

Nikki and Bella concluded the interview by saying the new season of Total Bella would focus on their pregnancies, the coronavirus pandemic and their mother’s health emergency.

‘My mum had to have emergency brain surgery,’ Nikki said. ‘It was crazy as it all unfolded while we were filming.’
