Tracy Beaker ‘Bouncer’ Plakova star Ben Hanson looks unrecognisable as he shows off his weight loss in shirtless snaps 16 years on

He played ‘Bouncer’ Plakova in the famous CBBC drama, The Story of Tracy Beake. 

And actor Ben Hanson has stunned fans of the show, 16 years on by showing off his weight loss transformation with a series of shirtless muscular pictures. 

Ben, now 35, was one of the main characters in the show, appearing in it from seasons two to four, and returned in the final series.

Since leaving the show, Ben has appeared in pantomime and presented on children’s television and is now a qualified personal trainer.

The actor likes to regularly document his fitness journey on Instagram and he wrote earlier in the week: ‘Transformation Tuesday… 

‘3 years difference, less sunburn and a ton more focus. Bring back the sun and outdoor training…

Meanwhile, grownup Tracy Beaker fans were left delighted on Friday as they were treated to a trip down memory lane while watching CBBC’s reboot My Mum Tracy Beaker.

Dozens of viewers took to Twitter after it aired calling the drama ‘nostalgia heaven’, with some proudly declaring they were in their 20s and watching the childrens’ hit.   

In the reboot, Tracy (Dani Harmer, 32) is seen as a single mother in her 30s trying to get by financially with her young daughter Jess (Emma Maggie Davies). 

In a special treat for lovers of the Noughties show, several familiar faces are set to return including Tracy’s mum-turned Bridgerton star Ruth Gemmell, 54, and the tearaway’s nemesis Justine Littlewood, played by Montanna Thompson, 32.
