‘They haven’t got a clue who I am anyway’: Ulrika Jonsson, 54, vows never to kiss a man on Celebs Go Dating because they’re all ‘too young’

Ulrika Jonsson has vowed never to kiss a man on TV because they’re all ‘too young’ and don’t know who she is, amid her stint on Celebs Go Dating.

The former weather presenter, 54, who dines with guys almost half her age on the E4 reality show, has also blamed her blind dates for not being flirty enough.

She told The Sun: ‘F*** no! F*** that! I’m 54, I’m not going to kiss someone on TV.

‘The younger guys obviously haven’t got much of a clue who I am. It was only really the first guy who seemed to think he knew everything about me.’

Detailing a disaster date which saw her partnered with 27-year-old Jack, the Sweden-native had thought things were going well before he gushed about his dreams of becoming a dad.

She hilariously recounted: ‘He kept talking about how he’s dying to become a dad, and I’m like, “Well, mate, I’m 54, that ain’t going to happen.” So I felt like it was pointless.

Adding that she’d been ‘instructed to be receptive’ to flirting, she admitted she was left disappointed since there ‘wasn’t really much from any of them’.

Despite others being easy on the eye and ‘really nice’, Ulrika said that ultimately many of them were ‘quite dull’.

Ulrika recently revealed she enjoyed ‘wild and electrifying times’ during an intense period of online dating last year. She revealed she experienced months filled with ‘passion and filth’ which she has now called her ‘sexpedition’.

She said that while the time was ‘vibrant and spontaneous’, she still failed to find Mr Right, leading her to sign up to the current series of Celebs Go Dating.

Ulrika has been single since her 2019 divorce from third husband Brian Monet after the pair parted ways after ten years together. They have one son, Malcolm, 13. Her first marriage to John Turnbull was in 1990 and they have a son, Cameron, 27.

The TV personality’s second marriage in 2003 was to Lance Gerrard-Wright who, at the time, was a contestant on her TV show Mr Right. They share a daughter, Martha, 17.

The mother-of-four also has a daughter, Bo, 21, with ex-boyfriend hotelier, Marcus Kempen, who she separated from in 2000 after two years.

After their romance, she said: ‘Well, I guess I was infatuated with James. It was a physical thing. And what a nice man he turned out to be’ – as she referenced him selling stories about their romance to the papers.
