‘Ow I said no biting’: Will Ferrell drives an EV through scenes from popular Netflix series including Walking Dead in new Super Bowl spot for GM
Will Ferrell has teamed up with GM and Netflix for a new commercial that will debut on Sunday during Super Bowl LVII.
The Saturday Night Live alum – and huge Los Angeles Lakers fan – 55, drives an EV through a scene from The Walking Dead in the opening shot.
‘General Motors is going electric and Netflix is joining in by including more EVs in their movies and shows,’ the Anchorman star said. ‘It’s the least they can do.
‘So if you’re going to get swarmed by an army of the dead, why not do it in an EV?’ he asked while a zombie bit his arm.
‘OW I said no biting,’ the Old School actor said, shaking the zombie off his arm.

The Mist: The Old School star, 55, appears in a scene from The Mist where he passes out
In the next scene, the Spirited star visits the world of The Mist where he gets in the EV and says, ‘Or, if you’re being voluntarily kidnapped, why not be kidnapped in an EV?’
Mist starts to envelop the car and Ferrell says, ‘What’s that scent? It is pine?’ And then passes out.
The Bewitched star next lands in the world of Bridgerton. As he strolls down a parkway in front of a mansion with a woman in Victorian clothing, he says, ‘Now, should they add EVs everywhere?’
The Zoolander actor turns to the camera and says ‘They shalln’t. They shan’t. Is it shalln’t or shan’t?’ His companion answers, ‘It’s neither.’
He lands in the universe of Stranger Things as Dusty, saying ‘What about over here, Erica?’ Priah Ferguson, who plays Erica in the hit show, replies, ‘You’re ruining the show, idiot.’
The GM EV provides the escape vehicle for the runaway bride in the Love is Blind clip as the groom yells ‘Tammy, wait!’ The bride replies, ‘Later loser’ and hops in the EV.
‘But anywhere else it makes sense,’ he says, turning to the bride. ‘Brad was so much better for you,’ he added.
The Squid Game segment is in both English and Korean with the Elf star wearing the show’s signature green track suit.

In the final scene of the ad, the Land of the Lost is back in the first EV with a zombie.
‘Gordon you kill me,’ he says as the zombie laughs. Ferrell has been transformed into a zombie from the bite he received in the first scene. ‘I mean you literally did kill me.’
