Zoe Kravitz proves that she’s not in the mood for Valentine’s Day with a sarcastic Instagram post… after filing for divorce from Karl Glusman
She filed for divorce from her husband Karl Glusman nearly two months ago.
So understandably, Zoe Kravitz was not in the mood to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Sunday.
The actress, 32, made that abundantly clear as she posted a silly message about rolling a blunt to her Instagram account, rather than a lovey-dovey message.
Over it: Zoe Kravitz posted a photo to her Instagram account on Sunday morning to let her followers know that she was not in the mood for celebrating Valentine’s Day
Kravitz’s post showed the phrase ‘Valentines day’ slowly being deconstructed until it finally read ‘ay.’
The final line appropriated the two letters into the beginning of the phrase ‘ayyyyyy roll me a blunt.’
The Mad Max: Fury Road actress also wrote a short message in the post’s caption, which read, ‘still slaps.’
Kravitz’s public sarcasm seemed to be a reflection of her separation from her 33-year-old estranged husband.
Recent breakup: The post comes just over a month after it was announced that the actress had separated from her husband Karl Glusman; the former couple is seen together in 2019
Coping mechanism: Kravitz’s post showed the phrase ‘Valentine’s Day’ slowly being deconstructed and re-worded to read ‘ayyyyyy roll me a blunt’; she is seen with Glusman at the 2018 premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
The actress and her former partner first began dating in 2016; she was previously romantically linked to actors Penn Badgley and Ezra Miller.
In October of 2018, she revealed that the couple became engaged in February of that year in a story for Rolling Stone.
During the story, she elaborated on the qualities that made her now-estranged husband attractive to her.
She said, ‘I can be my weirdest self around him…It’s so relaxing to be around someone where you can be a hundred percent how you feel.’
Right qualities: In 2018, the actress spoke about the things that she liked about her now-estranged husband, and commented that ‘I can be my weirdest self around him’; the former couple is pictured in 2020
Although Glusman had planned on proposing to her during a romantic getaway, Kravitz also mentioned that he chose to do so at their shared residence, much to her delight.
‘I love that it wasn’t this elaborate plan in Paris. It was at home, in sweatpants,’ she noted.
In 2019, the two held a marriage ceremony at the house of Kravitz’s father.
However, the happy days for the couple came to a halt in December of last year, and they announced their separation on January 2nd.
It’s all over: The pair tied the knot in 2019 and announced that they had called off the marriage earlier this year; Kravitz is seen at the 2019 Met Gala
Two days after the news about the two broke, the actress made a post to her Instagram Story that seemed to reference the end of her relationship.
The post showed a drag queen placing a garbage bag into a bin, with a block of text reading, ‘People places and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good’ imposed onto the bag.
Kravitz has since removed all photos featuring Glusman from her Instagram account.
Cryptic post: Two days after the news about her separation from Glusman was made public, the actress shared a meme to her Instagram Story as a potential reference to her personal life
