Chelsea eye up Romelu Lukaku as Erling Haaland transfer alternative, AC Milan keen on Hakim Ziyech and Blues eyeing up Barca starlet amid ongoing contract dispute
Erling Haaland admits rumoured fee is ‘a lot of money’
Chelsea are yet to open their chequebook in this summer’s transfer window as the new Premier League season draws closer.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is playing a patient game as he bids to add a world-class striker to his squad. The clubs pursuit of Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland has been well-documented but has failed to develop in recent weeks.
The Londoners have also started discussions with Spanish outfit Sevilla over a move for centre-back Jules Kounde.
But there have been very few developments in terms of new arrivals to Stamford Bridge as we approach the final month of the window.
Here is a round-up of the latest Chelsea transfer rumours…
Blues owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly sent his son out to Italy to try and persuade Lukaku to return to London.
The Belgian star endured a miserable three-year spell at Chelsea earlier in his career, making only a handful of appearances before being shipped out to Everton.
Blues supremo Abramovich will be hoping that he can tempt Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, although the Belgian striker is said to be happy with life both on and off the pitch in Milan.
Regardless, Chelsea are set to test that stance as well as Inter’s desire to hold on to their star striker with a colossal £110m bid.

Blues forward Hakim Ziyech is a key transfer target for AC Milan according to CalcioMercato.
Ziyech only arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer in a £33.4m switch from Ajax, but the Italian giants have set their sights on luring the Moroccan to Italy.
The 28-year-old managed six goals and four assists during his 39 appearances last year, but Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is prepared to sanction an exit should Milan make a suitable bid.
The Italian side are now set to open talks with the Blues over a speedy exit for the versatile forward, who would command a sizeable fee.
Blues eye Barca starlet
The 18-year-old, who has been likened to Manchester United star Paul Pogba, is now in the final 12 months of his contract.
The Catalan giants want to tie Moriba down after his senior breakthrough last year, but an agreement has yet to be reached, with Barca demoting Moriba to train with the development team until a breakthrough is found.
Barcelona’s dire financial situation is well-known and Chelsea could take advantage with a swoop for the exciting young talent.
