You will struggle to find anyone involved with Arsenal – either inside the club or outside – who doesn’t think the Gunners need to sign several players this summer if they want to challenge for the Champions League places next season.
The north London side are currently ninth in the Premier League and even if they manage to leapfrog a couple of the sides above them on the final day on Sunday, it will still be considered a hugely disappointing campaign.
Add into the mix that players like Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos look unlikely to stay at Emirates Stadium beyond their existing loans and you could argue Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have a major overhaul on their hands.
Here Mirror Football highlights some of the latest Arsenal transfer news.
Arsenal are Under pressure
He may have only made one Premier League start all season but Cengiz Under is reportedly a target for Arsenal.
Under developed a reputation as an exciting young talent when he first moved to Roma in 2017 and established himself as a regular.
But after only 13 starts for the Serie A side last season, Roma decided to ship the 23-year-old out on loan, with Leicester landing the Turkey international and having an option of a £20million permanent switch.
However, Under has managed even less appearances this campaign, with only nine starts in all competitions and 19 appearances in total.
However, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Gunners, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund could battle it out for Under this summer.
Fiorentina slash the asking price for defender
Arsenal target Nikola Milenkovic could be available for a cut-price fee of £21million this summer, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The defender is said to be wanted by a host of European clubs, including the Gunners and Manchester United.
There had been claims in the past that his club Fiorentina wouldn’t sell for less than £38million.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport suggest they will accept an offer from the highest bidder if it is above £21million.
Arsenal told to target England striker
Arsenal should try to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea, according to former England international Trevor Sinclair.
Abraham, 23, is expected to leave the Blues this summer as he has fallen out of favour with new boss Thomas Tuchel.
After stating his old side West Ham should try to land Abraham, Sinclair told talkSPORT: “He’s got everything. Arsenal could do with him, too. [Alexandre] Lacazette is getting older. He’d be a hold-up player, bringing something slightly different with his height.
“He’s mobile, he’s got good feet, he could be a good pick for Arsenal.
“But he’s obviously a talented player. I’m a big fan of his. I just want to see him playing football.
“If he’s not developing and continuing to improve as a player, he’s standing still and that’s not great for a young player.”
