The pressure continues to grow on Mikel Arteta, after Arsenal fell to yet another home defeat over the weekend.
Burnley inflicted the Gunners’ fourth defeat in a row at the Emirates, as they continued their worst start to a season since 1974/75.
Arteta’s side have already lost seven times this season and find themselves marooned in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
It was another blank for Arsenal’s struggling strike-force against the Clarets, with their 10-goal tally the worst of any side outside of the bottom four.

However, given their poor start to the season, Arsenal have been linked with a number of potential January transfer deals.
So here’s the latest transfer news from The Emirates as speculation continues to circulate.
Arsenal target £27m Porto star
Fabio Vieira has emerged as a shock target for Arsenal, with the club reportedly ‘positioning themselvres’ to strike a £27million deal.
Th 20-year-old only made his professional debut for the Portuguese giants in June after impressing for their B team.
The midfielder has been touted as a potential star for the future and Record via Sport Witness, claim the Gunners are in the running.
They suggest that Pini Zahavi is one of the agents representing the youngster and he has strong connections with bosses at the Emirates.
Vieira has a £27m release clause and although a move in January may be too soon, they are said to be interested in a summer raid.
Edu drops Ozil hint
Arsenal chief Edu has suggested that Arsenal are attempting to reach an agreement with outcast Mesut Ozil.
The German international has been left out of Mikel Arteta’s Premier League and Europa League squad despite being the club’s highest earner.
However, Edu has now claimed that they have held initial talks with Ozil as he looks to leave at the end of the season.
Edu said: “I talked to him, Mikel talked to his agent, I talked to his agent about some possibilities, not fighting, just some things to try and help each other. The way we see his future at the club, the way we see him here. It’s quite clear.
“What makes me feel comfortable, which we treat the situation, man to man, no-one hides anything, and Mikel explained to you guys a lot.”
Saliba to offered January exit
Arsenal are ready to grant William Saliba his wish and allow him to leave the club on loan next month.
Similarly to Ozil, Arteta opted to leave Saliba out of his Europa League and Premier League squads, leaving him surplus to requirements until january at least.
Saliba has featured twice for the U21s in the EFL Trophy, with his most recent appearance ending with a red card against AFC Wimbledon.
Sky Sports report that the Gunners will allow the 19-year-old to secure a loan move in order to find regular first-team football.
Reports have suggested that the Frenchman would prefer a move to the Championship, although former club Saint Etienne are interested.
