Mikel Arteta has spent more than any other Premier League manager this summer, but with two defeats to start off their season, the Gunners squad looks far from complete
Although Arsenal are the league’s top spenders so far this transfer window, they look far from being the complete package.
Following Sunday’s defeat to Chelsea, Arsenal remain on zero points and it’s the first time in their history that they’ve opened a league season with two defeats and zero goals scored after two games.
Mikel Arteta has made five signings already this summer, with Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale being added to his squad late last week.
More incomings could be on the horizon as the Gunners boss looks to turnaround his side’s fortunes, with departures expected also before the deadline on August 31.

Nketiah attracting interest

Eddie Nketiah is attracting interest from multiple clubs around Europe, with Crystal Palace and an unnamed team in Germany reportedly interested in signing the 22-year-old.
According to The Athletic, Palace are readying a bid of around £10million for Nketiah and this valuation has been matched by an unnamed team in Germany, who have reportedly already failed with two bids for the Englishman
Arsenal legend Patrick Viera is said to be extremely keen to bring the young striker to the south London club, but the Gunners are holding out for a fee closer to £20m.
Nketiah has been at the Emirates since the 2015/16 season when he switched from Chelsea’s youth academy, but Arsenal face losing the striker for free should he refuse to sign a new deal.
The Englishman’s current contract expires next summer, meaning that Arteta could look to cash in on the 22-year-old.
Torreira set for Fiorentina

Lucas Torreira could be set for another loan spell away from the Emirates, with Fiorentina ready to offer the Uruguayan a return to Italy.
Torreira joined Arsenal from Sampdoria in 2018 and quickly began to impress before eventually falling out of favour.
The midfielder spent the previous season on loan at Atletico Madrid, making 26 appearances as they went on to win the La Liga title.

According to football.london, Torreira had wanted to fight for his place at Arsenal, but was informed that he was not in Arteta’s plans.
Torreira’s agent Pablo Bentancur has expressed that his client would favour a move back to Italy and a deal with Fiorentina is close.
The move is likely to be a season-long loan with an obligation to buy next summer.
Kolasinac rumours false?
Sead Kolasinac has been deemed surplus to requirements by Arteta, with Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares now ahead of him for the left-back position.
With the defender free to leave the club this summer, reports emerged that Kolasinac was on the verge of joining up with former Gunner Mesut Ozil at Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce, but this may not be the case.
Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports tweeted on the matter and said: “Sead Kolasinac to Fenerbahce rumours not correct, I’m told from multiple sources.”
The 28-year-old joined Arsenal on a free transfer from Schalke in 2017, and quickly became a fan favourite down the left channel.
However, Kolasinac’s minutes have been numbered since Arteta took over, and the defenders contract will expire next summer.
