Arsenal have turned their attention to Ibrahima Konate after being frustrated with their attempts to sign his RB Leipzig teammate Dayot Upamecano.

It has led Arsenal to eye up his defensive partner Konate, according to TodoFichajes.

They report that the north London club will present RB Leipzig an offer in the coming weeks.
Upamecano usually takes the plaudits as Leipzig’s main man in defence but the club rate Konate as high, if not more.
But it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to negotiate with TodoFichajes reporting that the German club are prepared to price Konate at £54m (€60m).
That would be out of Arsenal’s price range, with them instead looking to scout for cheaper deals in January.
It has led them to an alternative to Houssen Aouar – who Lyon demanded bids north of £50m.
Instead, RB Salzburg Dominik Szoboszlai has been eyed – who as a £22.5m release clause.
The Hungary international is one of the latest stars to be reeled out from the Austrian club, who are garnering a reputation as a star-creating outfit.
Erling Haaland is the latest, who is currently one of the most sought-after strikers at Borussia Dortmund.
But the likes of Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and even Upamecano have all plied their trade at Salzburg.
