Arsenal vs Leeds: Javi Gracia admits ‘big problem’ with Tyler Adams’ season at risk
Javi Gracia has confirmed Tyler Adams could miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury in just the latest blow for the relegation-threatened Whites.
Max Wober (hamstring) and Wilfried Gnonto (ankle) will also miss the meeting with the Gunners after picking up blows over the international period, with Leeds just two points clear of the Premier League drop zone.
Gracia will likely be forced to keep pushing Rodrigo Moreno and Luis Sinisterra through their injury comebacks despite the attacking duo not being in the “best condition” after injuries.
“It’s a big problem for us,” the manager told reporters.
“We’ve lost important players for the next games. Tyler, we will see his evolution. After the surgery, we will see if he can play any games this season.
“Max and Willy need time to recover. What I know is they are out for this game and I think it will be more time. I don’t know if one week more or two weeks more.
“I have to be worried about it because they are important players for us and we don’t have a very big squad. We have to try to look for the solutions. But I believe in all the players I have.”
Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw are also absent with long-term injuries.
