Arsenal vs Tottenham: WSL team news and how to watch today’s derby

Arsenal and Tottenham meet in an FA Women’s Super League north London derby today.

The Gunners are top of the table with four wins from four, having scored a huge 23 goals to lay down a marker early on this season.

Spurs, meanwhile, have lost three of their opening four matches, and will need something special at Meadow Park.

The last time these two sides met, Joe Montemurro‘s Arsenal eased to a 4-0 FA Women’s Cup victory in late September.

However, Spurs are intent on reeling in their north London rivals, and the signing of Alex Morgan – who misses out today – points to their WSL ambitions.

Kick-off time and venue

Arsenal vs Tottenham will take place at the Gunners’ Meadow Park stadium in Borehamwood, with kick-off at 2:30pm BST.

How to watch

TV channel: The match will be televised live on BT Sport 1, with coverage starting from 2pm.

Live stream: BT Sport subscribers will be able to stream the match online via the video player and the BT Sport app. Fans can also watch the game via the FA Player.

Team news

Alex Morgan’s Spurs debut won’t be for another few weeks, with the American forward saying a setback prevented her from being fit to play today.

The two-time World Cup winner joined Tottenham last month for this season to get game time ahead of the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics in 2021, with the United States season curtailed by the pandemic.

But Morgan, who gave birth to Charlie Elena Carrasco in May, has not played since 2019.

“A small setback keeping me from doing what I love,” Morgan tweeted on Sunday. “Can’t wait to get on the field with this team in the next few weeks. Literally can’t wait.”
