Who’s leading the way in the Premier League sack race?

Arsenal have no interest in Philippe Coutinho.

And they are fully committed to first choice strike pair Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as key members of the squad this season.

Barcelona have been linked in the Spanish media with a potential swap deal involving Coutinho and Aubameyang while Lacazette has also been linked with the Nou Camp.

But that is a complete non-starter as far as Arsenal are concerned as there has been no interest in Coutinho while they are not interested in offloading Aubameyang or Lacazette.

Arsenal are in the process of completing a £30m-plus deal for Real Madrid star Martin Odegaard who will sign a six year contract.

Arteta has no interest in signing Coutinho and remains committed to his senior attackers

That means there would certainly be no room for ex-Liverpool playmaker Coutinho in the squad.

There is also no issue with either Aubameyang and Lacazette after they missed Friday’s game at Brentford through illness which also makes them a doubt for Sunday’s clash with Chelsea.

But there has been no bust-up with Mikel Arteta or disagreement and they will be straight back into the squad as soon as they are fit and available.

Arsenal are also fully preparing for this season with Aubameyang as their captain and hoping that he gets back to his prolific goalscoring form after a frustrating campaign last year.

Aubameyang, 32, has two years left on his mega £250,000-a-week contract and is still very much a fans’ favourite while he has also spoken publicly about wanting to get back to his best.

Lacazette, 30, is entering the final year of his contract and there has been interest in him previously but again there has been nothing close to making Arsenal think about selling him.

They would have to offload one of their big name strikers to bring a new face in and that has not been close to happening this summer and neither have they been tempted to do so.

It does leave Arsenal boss Arteta with an experienced and strong strike force full of pedigree.

And if they can get the balance right with Odegaard then they have a squad which they believe will create chances and score goals with Aubameyang and Lacazette.
