Arsene Wenger has compared Kylian Mbappe to Pele as he insisted his France team will retain the World Cup next year.
The Paris-Saint Germain striker has won three French league titles by the age of 22.
The former Arsenal boss, now FIFA’s Head of Football Development, told Le Parisien: “In five years time, Kylian will be on top of the world. On top of the world in Paris or Madrid.
“And I hope he will have won one or several Ballon D’Or.
“Kylian must not place any limitations on himself.
“I have said that there are similarities between Kylian and Pele. He is a good example to follow. Pele played in four World Cups, he won three.
“Kylian, at the age of 22, has already played in one and won one.
“The French national team, which won the World Cup with key young players and by a distance, has it all to win the next one.”
The PSG star has scored 15 goals since moving to the French capital in October, including one in the 4-1 first leg win at the Camp Nou.
But the Ligue 1 club yesterday announced he was out of last night’s match against Bordeaux after failing a test.
PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino also tested positive in January while the club was hit by an outbreak which affected Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at the start of the season.
