Barcelona troll Cristiano Ronaldo after Champions League win over Juventus

Barcelona couldn’t help but poke fun at Cristiano Ronaldo after beating Juventus in the Champions Legaue on Wednesday night.

The La Liga giants came away from Turin with a 2-0 victory to cement their place as leaders of Group G, with goals coming from Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi.

It was the win Ronald Koeman’s men needed on the back of a 3-1 defeat by bitter rivals Real Madrid and on the week president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the club’s entire board of directors resigned.

And it seems Barcelona were in a very good mood after the final whistle, with the club’s social media team taking aim at Ronaldo with a well-time tweet.

The tweet includes a picture of man of the match Messi in action alongside the caption: “We were glad you were able to see the Goat in action on your pitch Juventus!”

The tweet is in reference to the age-old debate on who is the better player between Barcelona legend Messi or Real Madrid hero Ronaldo.

Former Los Blancos star Ronaldo played no part in Wednesday night’s clash in Italy as he is currently out of action with the coronavirus.

The Portuguese tested positive during the international break on October 13 and was in a race to return for the group game.

But a second test showed the virus was still present in Ronaldo’s system, meaning he was required to continue self-isolating.
