Barcelona v PSG starting lineups and confirmed team news today

Ronald Koeman and Mauricio Pochettino both have something to prove at the Camp Nou tonight, with both coaches tasked with taking their teams deep in this competition.

Koeman has steadied the ship following a rocky start to life back at Barca, with the former Blaugrana midfielder getting the club back on track following the Lionel Messi contract saga last summer.

As for Pochettino, the former Spurs coach knows that nothing less than Champions League glory will do in Paris, having watched his predecessor Thomas Tuchel lose his job not too long after taking PSG to last year’s European Cup final.

However, Pochettino will have to get a result at Camp Nou without former Barca star Neymar: the Brazil striker suffered a thigh injury against Caen in the Coupe de France last week, and is out tonight.

Marco Verratti has recovered from a hip injury bit Angel Di Maria is out with a similar problem, so PSG will be heavily reliant on World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe to do the business in Barcelona.

As for Barca, Gerard Pique has not played since suffering a knee ligament injury in late November – but the veteran Spain defender trained on Monday and is in the lineup tonight.
