Bookies back Tyson Fury to unify heavyweight division

Anthony Joshua will put his WBA, IBF and WBO titles on the line in a bid to beat WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury after a two-fight deal was announced on Monday (March 15).

It is Fury who the bookies are backing to unify the heavyweight division and remain undefeated in his career.

Betfred have priced the 32-year-old at 4/7 to beat Joshua, 31, while the former Olympic champion is 13/8 with the bookmakers.

Promoter Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports: “All parties have now put pen to paper and we will be working hard over the next few weeks to confirm the site and date for the biggest fight in boxing.”

The Gypsy King, who won the WBC last year after beating Deontay Wilder at the second time of asking following an incredible display in Los Angeles in 2018 to comeback and grab a draw.

AJ suffered a scare in his career when he lost to American Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden, New York in 2019. He won the titles in the immediate rematch six months later in Saudi Arabia and retained the title against Kubrat Pulev in December 2020.

A draw has been priced at 25/1.
