Norwich 0-3 Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp reaction

Liverpool are looking to maintain their unbeaten record as they travel to Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Reds have been impressive so far, registering four wins and a draw with Chelsea in their opening five fixtures to leave them near the top of the table.

Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Crystal Palace 3-0 in their last top-flight outing and Norwich City via the same scoreline in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

But Liverpool will be wary of a Brentford outfit bristling with confidence after a 2-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers and a 7-0 thrashing of Oldham Athletic in midweek.

Jurgen Klopp has been handed welcome boosts ahead of the trip to Brentford as Roberto Firmino, Neco Williams and James Milner have returned to training.

Firmino missed the last four games with a thigh injury but should return to the match-day squad to face the Bees, and Williams has recovered from an ankle injury. Milner has brushed off the illness which saw him miss the Carabao Cup clash with Norwich City.

Trent Alexander-Arnold could return at right-back after also recovering from illness, but the game is likely to come too soon for Thiago, who suffered a calf injury against Crystal Palace.

Midfielder Naby Keita is also ruled out with a foot injury, while Harvey Elliott is a long-term absentee.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank, meanwhile, has no fresh injury concerns, with Mads Sorensen and Joshua Dasilva still sidelined.

Shandon Baptistse was suspended for the Carabao Cup clash with Oldham in midweek after he was sent off for two bookable offences against Wolves, but the midfielder returns to contention for the visit of Liverpool.
