Brentford vs Swansea: Championship Playoff Final preview

The Bees beat Bournemouth 3-2 on aggregate in a dramatic semi-final and are now looking to go one better than a year ago, when they were beaten in extra-time in the final by west London rivals Fulham.

Swansea were also in last season’s playoffs and were knocked out in the semi-finals by Brentford, but reached the final this time around by seeing off Barnsley.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brentford vs Swansea is scheduled for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

The game will be played at Wembley Stadium in front of around 10,000 fans, in line with current coronavirus restrictions.

Brentford vs Swansea team news

Brentford will assess Rico Henry and Christian Norgaard after they both missed Saturday’s second-leg win over Bournemouth, the latter having to pull out in the warm-up after being named in the starting line-up. Josh Dasilva remains a long-term absentee.

Swansea look likely to be without the long-serving Wayne Routledge after he was stretchered off against Barnsley.
