Champions League results: Man United lose; Chelsea, Barca win – LIVE!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils were reeling from a defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, and whole they have beaten PSG (2-1) and RB Leipzig (5-0), a surprise loss in Turkey has blown Champions League Group H wide open.

Former Premier League striker Ba and skipper Edin Visca secured the Turkish side’s first-ever Champions League group stage victory.

Anthony Martial had reduced the deficit just before half-time after Ba and Visca capitalised on comical defending, but this season’s 100 per cent away record came to an end for the lacklustre Red Devils to intensify scrutiny on Solskjaer and his side.

PSG behind at Leipzig

Well now… PSG are a goal down to Leipzig, and are also down to 10 men following Gueye’s red card.

It’s hard to know whether that would be a good result for Manchester United at this point, but you’d assume any defeats for PSG at this point are to be welcomed.

Chelsea surely wrap things up

The Blues have gone 3-0 up against 10-man Rennes, and that should be the game at Stamford Bridge.

Half-time scores

Barcelona 1-0 Dynamo Kyiv

Van de Beek reaction

“I’m really disappointed. I think we started OK the first 10 minutes, and then we gave the ball away, I don’t know how, and after that I think we lose the confidence. We can play much better.

“We need to improve a lot. The last game against Arsenal was the same – I think we played not our best game. Now we have to step up (in) the game against Everton.”

Solskjaer reaction

“They hit us on the break a couple of times, and scored two goals like sometimes happens in Europe when you don’t defend well enough.

“For the first one we play a short corner, and we forget about the man up top, and that’s unforgivable.

“The second one as well, we’re not very well organised to counter-press and win the ball back.

“Two soft goals to give away and then we didn’t have enough to come back second half.

“It was a good goal by Anthony, and you think 45 minutes to save something, and second half we threw everything at it, but we couldn’t break them down.”
