Chelsea “agree” Jules Kounde personal terms as Erling Haaland addresses future

Chelsea are gearing up for a first full season under the guidance of manager Thomas Tuchel.

The former PSG boss enjoyed a brilliant end to last campaign after helping the Blues claim the Champions League for the second time in the club’s history.

Tuchel will now be hoping to secure further trophies during the 2021/22 season, with the Premier League likely to be a priority for the team.

Chelsea are yet to make any statement signings but are edging ever closer to their first piece of transfer business.

Mirror Sport have rounded up the latest rumours ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Chelsea “agree” personal terms with Kounde

Jules Kounde is looking likely to be on his way out of Sevilla

Chelsea are edging closer to a deal for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde after reportedly agreeing personal terms with the player.

The 22-year-old defender has been linked with a number of clubs this summer but Tuchel’s side are looking well-placed to strike a deal.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Kounde has already sorted personal terms with the Blues and it is now a matter of Chelsea and Sevilla agreeing a price.

The two clubs are said to be in “advanced talks” regarding a transfer.

Blues strike goalkeeper deal

Chelsea have “agreed” a deal to sign former Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli.

The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough and was released by parent club Fulham earlier this summer after his contract expired.

According to the Telegraph, the Blues have negotiated a two-year contract with Bettinelli and the player will join up with the group “imminently.”

There was competition from other clubs for his signature due to the keeper counting as a homegrown member of the first-team squad.

Erling Haaland has set the record straight about his Borussia Dortmund future.

The Norwegian striker continues to be linked with a move away from the Bundesliga, with Chelsea understood to be one of the teams eyeing a move.

Haaland was quizzed on these rumours at a recent press conference and made clear that he remains committed to his current club.

“I don’t really have much to say about this. I have three years left on my contract and I’m enjoying my time here (at Dortmund),” he said.

“Before yesterday, I didn’t speak to my agent in one month – I think you have the answer there.

“I don’t really care too much about that. It’s a lot of money – I hope it’s just rumours to be honest because that’s a lot of money for a person!”
