Chelsea are set to be active once again in the transfer market, just 12 months after handing Frank Lampard a warchest of more than £200million.

Thomas Tuchel has since replaced Lampard and guided the Blues to the Champions League at the end of last term.

But they still only scraped into the top-four and the German is under no illusions he will need to improve the playing squad to compete for titles.

“Two or three could be very, very good,” he told reporters at the start of the summer. “It’s a constant thing to never deny change. “That you always bring new energy, new guys who question the old beliefs, who challenge everybody in the training and in matches, so I think it’s a good thing.”

With that in mind, here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours:

Rice rejects Hammers deal

Declan Rice has reportedly snubbed two contract offers from West Ham

Chelsea have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of Declan Rice amid claims he rejected two contract offers from West Ham.

Rice was Frank Lampard’s top target last summer, but failed to land the England international who has since gone on to shine at Euro 2020.

Tuchel is likely to rekindle that interest during this window and according to the Guardian , he has told Hammers bosses that he wants to be made aware of any transfer approaches.

The report claims that if Chelsea, Manchester United or Man City lodge an official offer he would like to be informed.

It also suggested that the 22-year-old has turned down two offers of a long-term deal, but with three years remaining on his contract they will be able to ask for a huge fee in the current climate.

Ramos on the verge of PSG transfer

Sergio Ramos is set to become the second Chelsea target to join PSG, despite receiving offers to move to Stamford Bridge.

Achraf Hakimi’s move from Inter Milan is widely expected to be completed by the weekend and Ramos’ imminent transfer could follow a similar timeline.

The Spaniard has been out of contract since calling time on his trophy laden career with Real Madrid.

Ramos was offered a deal to remain at the Bernabeu, but was keen for a two-year offer, rather than the one Los Blancos were willing to hand out.

PSG have since met his demands and RMCSport (via Star Sport) claim he has agreed to their terms and will have a medical in the coming days.

Reports earlier this week had claimed the Blues made calls to the defender’s representatives, but those appear to have ended unsuccessfully.

Leonardo Spinazzola has been one of the stars of Euro 2020, thanks to his all-action displays for Italy.

The 28-year-old has impressed defensively, has shone in his marauding runs forward as part of Roberto Mancini’s exciting Azzurri side.

And according to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea are interested in signing the Roma star.

They claim the Blues have been left impressed by his performances and are the club ‘most convinced’ about trying to sign him.
