The Stamford Bridge outfit have been repeatedly linked with two of Juventus’ star players ahead of the January transfer window, with reports suggesting both could arrive
Chelsea romped home in their last Champions League encounter as they thrashed Juventus 4-0 – but appear to have seen a few things they like about their opponents.
With the January transfer window now just around the corner, the Blues continue to be linked with two of the Italian giants’ biggest stars.
Federico Chiesa, meanwhile, shone for his country Italy on their way to clinching the Euro 2020 trophy against England at Wembley last summer.
Both players continue to be linked with moves to Stamford Bridge, although one player could be leaving the club to move in the opposite direction and sign for a big Italian side come January.
Here are all the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.
Sarr set for Italy move
Chelsea defender Malang Sarr could be set for a January loan move to Inter Milan, it has been reported.
According to Sport Mediaset, the defender could sign a loan deal until the end of the season which includes a £13m buyout option.
It is reported that Chelsea forward recommended Inter to the defender and that he was in Milan during Chelsea’s weekend match against Manchester United to discuss the deal.
‘New assault’ launched for de Ligt
Chelsea are reportedly ‘ready for a new assault’ on Juventus defender Matthis de Ligt after failing to sign the Dutchman last summer.
According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are set to swoop for the defender as a replacement for Antonio Rudiger, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
The Blues have repeatedly been linked with de Ligt, although the player is expected to demand a huge transfer fee should he end up leaving the Italian side.
Chelsea fans are convinced they’ve spotted a sign that Federico Chiesa is about to join the club.
The club’s owner Roman Abramovich was present at Stamford Bridge for the 1-1 draw with Manchester United at the weekend, according to reports.
And Football.London reports that fans are convinced that is a sign the Russian billionaire is in London to approve January arrivals at Stamford Bridge.
With Italian forward Federico Chiesa said to be among the club’s top targets ahead of the next transfer window, fans are now getting very excited.
