Chelsea want France ace Kounde and Man City eye Blues star James

Thomas Tuchel will be looking to refine his Chelsea squad this summer after inspiring an incredible run to Champions League glory in the last campaign.

The German boss resurrected the Blues after a mid-season slump under club legend Frank Lampard, finishing in the top four, reaching the FA Cup final and beating Manchester City to secure their second elite European crown.

But Tuchel’s next task will be to bring the Premier League title back to Stamford Bridge as he looks to close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s City.

The Blues could benefit from further reinforcements this summer ahead of a title challenge this season.

Mirror Football has rounded-up all the latest Chelsea transfer news.

Chelsea are reportedly keen on Jules Kounde

It is claimed Chelsea ‘want’ to sign Kounde this summer after his impressive rise in Spain.

But the 22-year-old Frenchman is also said to be attracting interest from Real Madrid and could prefer a move to the Bernabeu.

Barcelona to make another Alonso move

Marcos Alonso played a peripheral role in West London after the arrival of Ben Chilwell and could be heading for the exit door this summer.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona are ready to reignite their interest in the left-back, who made just 17 appearances for the Blues last season.

It is claimed that Barcelona have been long-term admirers of Alonso, but could face competition from Inter Milan for his signature.

Alonso is contracted to Chelsea until 2023 but his future at the club is uncertain after being frozen out for large parts of last season.
