Cheltenham Festival 2022 guide: Day 2 tips, races, weather and more

he Cheltenham Festival continues today with a bumper race card ahead, including some superstar names.
There’s plenty to look forward to on the second day of action, with Shishkin primed to shine in the Queen Mother Champion Chase. The Willie Mullins duo of Energumene and Chacun Pour Soi will have other ideas, though.
Mullins will be hoping to be off the mark for the day before then though, with Sir Gerhard set to be an odds-on favourite in the opening Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle.
There’s also the small matter of Tiger Roll of course – will it be a record-equalling sixth Festival win for the two-time Grand National winner?
Honeysuckle and Rachael Blackmore took centre-stage on Monday as they successfully defended their Champion Hurdle crown, while Nico de Boinville had two winners as he got his Festival off to a flying start.
