The Irish UFC star invited his family, including reality TV star sister Erin, to a lush ceremony in Rome where his third son Rian was christened
Conor McGregor and his extended family enjoyed a plush celebration in the Vatican City on Friday as his son Rian was christened.
The UFC legend is currently nursing a broken leg, and stopped in Rome for his third child’s christening after an extended stay in the United States where he was engaging in rehabilitation.
The Irishman wore one of his August/McGregor suits to the lavish event, which saw hundreds of fans line the streets outside the venue in an effort to catch a glimpse of the star.
He was reunited with his mother Margaret, father Tony and reality TV star sister Erin, who appeared on the Irish edition of Dancing With The Stars, for the first time since entering camp for his fight with Dustin Poirier in the early part of the summer.
Also in attendance were some extended family members and friends, as well as his sister Aoife.

McGregor and Fiancee Dee were pictured enjoying the spectacular chapel, of which the roof was painted by famous renaissance artist Michelangelo, as well as his children and mother Margaret.
It remains to be seen when he will return to the octagon, with 2022 tipped to be the year after he suffered a severe injury last time out against Poirier.
He needed immediate surgery after snapping his tibia on a kick against the American at UFC 264, losing the trilogy after just one round in Las Vegas.
He has expressed interest in moving up to welterweight, where he could challenge champion Kamaru Usman, as well as offering a trilogy to rival Nate Diaz.
But he will first have to recover from his injury, which appears to be going well, as he is now training and walking the streets without assistance.
