Conor McGregor “will spark Jake Paul bad” if UFC star takes on challenge

Conor McGregor has been urged to accept Jake Paul’s challenge by Billy Joe Saunders who reckons the YouTuber will “get hurt bad” by the UFC star.

Jake, who recently landed a second professional boxing win over ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, has teased the Irishman ahead of a potential $50m fight.

His brother, Logan Paul, has secured himself an exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather.

And now Jake is looking for a big name himself as he continues his ring experiment.

But Saunders, the current WBO super middleweight champion, has told Jake that McGregor would make light work of him.

He told  iFL TV : “You don’t really want them throwing punches at each other because I can see [McGregor] knock someone out before cold, that fella [Paul] never had a fight in his life.

Jake Paul has been warned about taking on the Irishman

“You can clearly see boxing is not a playground.

“I think Conor McGregor will spark him and hurt him bad in UFC or boxing.

“I still think Conor McGregor takes him bad, to be honest.

“If they’re looking at, what is it? 50 million? Conor McGregor should go and whoop his ass and take that off him because it’ll be very comfortable.

“But it’s very dangerous. If they’re all going to make money and the promoters are going to put in on, who am I to say it’s not good?”

A host of UFC stars have been touted as potential opponents for Jake.

The pound-for-pound queen Amanda Nunes has been linked but was quickly dismissed by the YouTuber who claimed “no one knows who she is”.

The YouTuber is hoping to tempt Conor McGregor into taking his offer

McGregor’s team-mate Dillon Danis has been embroiled in a war of words with the American and looks to be the most likely challengers.

But Jake has not given up on fighting McGregor as he continues to taunt him on social media.

Earlier this month he said: “My team sent you a $50million offer this morning, $50m cash, proof of funds, the biggest fight offer you’ve ever been offered.

“But you’re scared to fight me Conor. You duck me as you’re scared to fight a YouTuber.

“You’re 0-1 as a boxer, I’m 2-0 as a boxer. I just came off the eighth-biggest pay-per-view event in history.”
