Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly left fuming at the full-time whistle despite Juventus ‘ 3-1 victory over Genoa on Sunday.
The Serie A giants eased to a comfortable home win, but Ronaldo was seemingly frustrated at not managing to score after playing the full 90 minutes.
Juve are enduring a difficult season, and are currently in a tense battle to finish in the top four along with fellow challengers AC Milan, Atalanta and Napoli, with Inter Milan running clear at the top.
But despite Juve’s important victory at the weekend, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport Ronaldo was left livid with his teammates for failing to pass to him on a number of occasions.
Footage captured him arguing with goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny at one point, and his body language suggested he was not in the best of moods throughout the encounter.
Ronaldo was seen throwing his shirt to the floor at the end of the match, and it is claimed he punched a wall when he arrived in the dressing room.
It is then said he showered in silence before leaving the stadium without saying a word to anyone.
His manager Andrea Pirlo admitted afterwards that Ronaldo was annoyed at not having found the back of the net, saying: “He was angry because he didn’t manage to score.
“It’s normal that someone like him always wants to improve. I don’t think he will be fined, it can happen to have moments of nervousness.”
There are rumours that Ronaldo has grown unhappy in Turin, and this latest show of petulance will only add further fuel to the speculation that he will look to quit the club this summer.
There are some suggestions that he could make a sensational return to Real Madrid, or alternatively make a big-money move to either USA or China.
