Crystal Palace vs Leicester predictions

Palace are huge favourites to win this against newly promoted Leicester.

But the London side are winless in their opening three games just as Leicester are.

The Foxes just edge the Eagles out by a place as well down to goal difference, but that should be a different story on the pitch.

Palace keeping Eberechi Eze was vital to their 2024/25 campaign and he’s already scored in the opening three games to cement that sentiment.

Leicester City haven’t been awful in defeat though, even snatching a draw against Tottenham, with any point seeming crucial at this stage.

Crystal Palace vs Leicester betting tips

  • Eze and Mateta to score, Vestergaard carded – 10/1

The Foxes only two losses so far have been 2-1 defeats to Aston Villa and Fulham, both of whom seem in decent form.

Which means both teams will be looking at this game as their best chance for their first Premier League win of the season.

These two sides last met in the top flight here in April 2023, where Leicester lost 2-1, which could be a recurring theme.

Prior to that game, they had gone unbeaten against Palace in seven games straight – winning four and drawing three.

Palace to score first looks the best stat-backed bet too, with Leicester conceding the first goal in each game so far, only netting the first in two of their last 24 games in the Premier League.

A win for the Foxes does look unlikely away from home but it will be another close contest that will be well-earned if Palace snatch it like they look like they can.

Eze always seems like he can be the star of the show and up against Leicester, should see some attacking returns once more too.

Jean-Philippe Mateta has yet to score but should be tough to handle in this game, where he can make the most of his physical presence.

Eddie Nketiah could make his Palace debut and there just seems to be too much attacking threat from the Eagles that Leicester don’t seem they can match.

Jannik Vestergaard has already seen a booking this season and Leicester could have a tricky time in defence up against a barrage of attacks.

They do pose their own threats to a Palace side that are yet to win, but this could be the turning point for them as they look to settle in to the season with a changed squad.
