Palace make a swift return to Premier League action as they host Newcastle tonight.
Roy Hodgson’s mid-table side will be itching to make amends for Monday night’s drab defeat at Burnley, where an early Chris Wood effort sealed the Clarets’ first top-flight win of the season.
Palace badly missed the influence of key forward Wilfried Zaha at Turf Moor following a positive coronavirus test and must find a more effective way of playing without their talisman on Friday as the Ivory Coast international continues to self-isolate.
Newcastle travel to south London after successive 2-0 defeats to Southampton and Chelsea either side of the international break.
With kick-off at 8pm GMT, follow all the action with Jack Rosser at Selhurst Park on our LIVE blog.

59 mins: Longstaff challenges Eze 25 yards from Newcastle’s goal, and gets a booking. He’s not happy, but it was a risky challenge.
53 mins: Ayew is in behind onto a neat toe-poke from Schlupp, but he’s at full stretch and slides the ball wide of Darlow’s right-hand post.

Schlupp is getting in some good positions early on in this second half, looking to whip some dangerous crosses in but Ayew doesn’t offer the sort of presence needed to get on the end of them. At least it is progress from the first half.
51 mins: Good play from Schlupp and Ayew to release the former, but his cross is cleared after dragging half the Newcastle defence with him. A corner follows, but Cahill can’t keep his effort down.
Second half begins
We are back underway at Selhurst Park.
Half-time: Palace 0-0 Newcastle
Palace have perhaps just had the better of that first half but this is a game crying out for a bit of ambition and quality. The more space Palace can work for Eze and Schlupp after the break the better and – with the amount of the ball they’re seeing – it might be worth throwing on someone like Reidewald to add a bit more craft to the midfield.
44 mins: Half-chance for Schlupp as he gets the run on his marker to meet a cross, but heads it over the bar on the stretch.
42 mins: Sloppy from Dann as he gives the ball straight to Joelinton 25 yards out, but the Magpies forward’s low shot is too close to Guaita. That’s been the story of his Newcastle career.
36 mins: Palace have worked their way into this game now, but there’s nothing like an onslaught from the hosts – it’s a cagey affair, and one goal could very well decide things.
Great save by Darlow!
28 mins: Schlupp capitalises on an error and is in behind here – he fires at goal, but Darlow gets a really strong hand to the ball to tip it behind for a corner.
