The German club have released a message to the stock market confirming the sale of the England winger for a “fixed transfer fee” of £73million.
United have been chasing a deal for the former Manchester City winger for well over a year now, having seen repeated offers rejected last summer.
As per the statement to shareholders from Borussia Dortmund, the deal is now simply subject to a medical.
A Dortmund statement read: “The formal processing of the transfer is also subject to the successful completion of all necessary medical tests and examinations.”
Sancho is currently with England at the European Championship with the Three Lions preparing to face Ukraine in Rome on Saturday night, meaning any medical will be delayed by his involvement in the camp.
Sancho has had limited chances to impress with England so far, with his game time restricted to a cameo appearance off the bench in England’s final group stage game against the Czech Republic.
