Arsenal are ready to go back into the transfer market in January, according to reports, and they have their eye on Serie A where two forwards are catching their eye
Arsenal were the highest spending Premier League club in the summer transfer window, but they might not be done for the season, according to reports.
The Gunners shelled out around £150million to bring in Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Nuno Tavares, Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Martin Odegaard.
But with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract in the summer, Arsenal could well be in need of new forwards in 2022.
The January transfer window is now just 28 days away and, if reports in Italy are to be believed, Arsenal are already making enquiries.
Here Mirror Football takes you through the rumours concerning Mikel Arteta’s side.
‘Auction incoming’ for Vlahovic

One of the players most frequently linked with Arsenal recently is Dusan Vlahovic, who has been lighting up Serie A for Fiorentina.
The 21-year-old striker is on the wishlists of many European clubs after netting 12 times in 15 Serie A appearances already this season.
He is under contract until June 2023 but refused to sign a contract extension in October amid swirling rumours.
Corriere Fiorentino reported earlier this week that Vlahovic was not interested by Arsenal’s offer and wants to see out the rest of the season at Fiorentina before moving.
However, a fresh report from Firenze Viola now says the club will try to sell Vlahovic in January in order to try and get the best price for him.
The report says a ‘tug-of-war’ could take place between the two parties and predicts an ‘auction is looming’, with Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich among the interested clubs.

Vlahovic might not be keen on Arsenal, but there could be a viable alternative for the north London club.
Domenico Berardi has been desperate to leave Sassuolo since the summer and it seems like he might finally get his wish in January.
Tuttomercato reports that Fiorentina have submitted an offer of £12.8m (€15m) for the 27-year-old winger, who is under contract until June 2024.
It is far from a done deal, however, with Sassuolo holding out for their valuation of £21m to £25.5m (€25m-30m) for the Italian international.
Fanta Calcio have previously claimed that Arsenal have contacted Sassuolo to enquire about Berardi, so it could be one to keep an eye on.
Torreira departure nears

Fiorentina appear to be closely tied to Arsenal in the January transfer window, with the Italian side also in the market for Lucas Torreira.
Torreira is currently on loan with La Viola and things have been going well for the Uruguayan midfielder, who has made 12 appearances in Serie A so far.
Fiorentina have an option to buy the 25-year-old for £12.8m (€15m) in their loan agreement and Fiorentina.it claims signing Torreira on a permanent basis is one of the ‘priorities’ for the coming months.
Torreira is out of contract with Arsenal in June anyway, so it is unlikely the Italian side would shell out much money mid-season to make sure of his signature.
