The Lionesses will take on North Macedonia on September 17 as they kick off their qualifying campaign for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The match will be Wiegman’s first as England boss following her appointment last September to become the permanent successor to Phil Neville, who left his role to coach in the MLS at David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
Wiegman previously coached the Dutch national team and led their women’s side to the quarter-finals of the Olympics competition last month, with Hege Riise having been in interim charge of England before taking the reins with Team GB in Tokyo.
Following the match in Southampton, the Lionesses will conclude their September camp with a trip to Luxembourg, with the exact venue for that match still to be confirmed.
St Mary’s is also one of 10 nominated venues for the 2022 Women’s European Championship, which is being staged across England next summer.
