Every Arsenal done deal as Gunners add new signing on deadline day

Mikel Arteta was not prepared to risk falling away in the second half of the season and moved to strengthen his squad as the club aim to end a 19-year wait for a League title.

The Gunners brought in three players, though that is not to say the month was not a frustrating one. Arsenal failed to land either Mykhailo Mudryk or Moises Caicedo despite multiple offers for both, so were forced to pursue other signings.

Leandro Trossard – Brighton, £21m

Jakub Kiwior – Spezia, £20m

Jorginho – Chelsea, £12m

Despite missing out on Mudryk and Caicedo, Arsenal did at least strengthen two key areas. In Trossard and Jorginho, they bring in ready-made Premier League players, with the hope being they can hit the ground running.

Kiwior, meanwhile, offers Arteta the cover at left centre-back he has been so keen to sign.

Cedric Soares and Albert Sambi Lokonga look for first-team football elswhere, a surprise as Arteta consistently spoke of being short on options – particularly in midfield.
