Every Premier League fixture in February to be broadcast live in UK

he Premier League have confirmed every match will be broadcast live on TV in the UK until at least the last weekend of February.

In previous seasons, only certain games have been selected for broadcast but the Premier League has bucked that trend due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At present, with supporters unable to attend matches, every game is being broadcast live in the UK and that is set to continue from Saturday 30 January to the last weekend of February.

Matches will continue to be shown via the existing services of broadcast partners Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and BBC.

Details of all contracted broadcast selections will be announced later today, along with early additional selections. Confirmation of the remaining fixtures, up to Matchweek 26, will follow in due course.

The Premier League said: “The Premier League and its clubs are committed to an accessible solution for fans.

“These plans have been made with the cooperation of our broadcast partners, working with us to deliver these additional matches while stadiums are missing the supporters who are such an integral part of the game.”

The Premier League had come under fire earlier this season, when some matches were briefly only made available via pay-per-view to fans in the UK – with the cost being £14.99.
