Harry Maguire makes Amad prediction after first Man Utd goal

Manchester United’s new wonderkid Amad scored a brilliant first goal for the club against AC Milan on Thursday night, leaving Harry Maguire impressed.

Amad came on at half time against Milan in the Europa League, playing out wide.

The 18-year-old scored his first goal for the club after producing a moment of inspirational brilliance.

Amad raced through on goal to meet a Bruno Fernandes lofted through ball before flicking the ball with the back of his head over Gianluigi Donnaruma.

The youngster was signed in a deal worth up to £37million, and is expected to play a big role going forward.

And club captain Maguire heaped praise on the teenager afterwards, saying the goal will give him confidence and predicting he will become a “big player” moving forwards.

“He’s a young boy with a big future,” Maguire said.

“Obviously he came on at half-time, trying to impress and he scores really early. That gives him confidence.
