Hart issues apology after “job done” social media gaffe following Tottenham loss

Joe Hart has apologised for a social media mishap on his Instagram account after Tottenham crashed out of the Europa League.

The north Londoners lost 3-0 to Dinamo Zagreb to exit the competition 3-2 on aggregate.

Hart was on the bench for the embarrassing defeat, but his problems didn’t end there.

He posted a story on his Instagram account which detailed the full-time score in Croatia and included the words “job done”.

The goalkeeper has claimed that it was a member of his social media team and that they thought Tottenham had won 3-0.

Hart has since issued a message saying: “Morning guys, I feel like I need to make an apology on behalf of my social media team. It has just been bought to my attention.

Joe Hart said “job done” after Tottenham’s defeat

“Someone thought that we’d won 3-0 last night, as sloppy as it sounds it is the truth.

“That is unacceptable, I’m sure it has annoyed a lot of people and I’m sorry it has come to that, but it hasn’t come from me.

“I’ve got nothing but love for the club and support for the team. I’m just as down as the rest of the boys.”

Dinamo Zagreb’s Mislav Orsic netted a sensational hat-trick which won the last 16 tie in extra-time.

Tottenham’s hopes of winning any silverware now hinge on their Carabao Cup final in April.

They remain in contention to qualify for the top four but several sides are better placed.

After the defeat in Croatia skipper Hugo Lloris appeared to question how the team was set-up.

He said: “It was a match I feel that was played with a lot of fear. I felt like we did not feel free and Arsenal were able to profit.

“The way we play is just not enough, not enough.
