Hudson-Odoi was substituted at half time of Chelsea’s goalless draw with Manchester United on Sunday and later emerged with strapping on his leg.
But he will be in contention to start at Anfield in a game that could be pivotal to Chelsea’s top four hopes.
Tuchel had hoped Thiago would also be involved for such a key fixture – but the club’s medical staff have advised to take a cautious approach to the Brazilian’s return.
Tuchel said: “Thiago made his first training with the team, but did not finish the last exercise – not of any pain or anything, just to be aware of not taking a risk.
“I assume he is in training today but he is not at 100 per cent, so he will not join the squad for Liverpool.”
Tammy Abraham is a doubt due to an ankle problem, but Chelsea have no other injury concerns.
Chelsea predicted lineup (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kante, Chilwell; Havertz, Mount; Werner
Injury list: Thiago Silva
