he 2022 Tour de France kicks off this week with the yellow jersey up for grabs for a 109th time.

Tadej Pogacar is the undoubted favourite having swooped to victory in both of the last two editions of the famous race, but he will have a resurgent Geraint Thomas for company in this year’s Tour.

Copenhagen in Demark will host the Grand Depart on Friday before a set of stages in northern France and Belgium.

The tour then heads to its traditional mountainous stages across the Alps before a long ride over to the Pyrenees for the conclusion of its most taxing rides, and the iconic finale in Paris.

TV channel: The Tour will be broadcast live on Eurosport.

Live stream: Discovery+ subcribers can tune in via their website and app, as well as Sky Sports customers who subscribe to Eurosport through the Sky Go app.

Free highlights: ITV4 will air free nightly highlights of the day’s action at 8pm BST.
