How we expect Crystal Palace to line-up against Aston Villa today

The veteran defender will be a miss for the Eagles, but manager Roy Hodgson is at least well covered at the back when it comes to alternative options.

In-form striker Christian Benteke is back from suspension following his controversial sending off at West Ham earlier this month, with Hodgson hoping he can continue the form which saw him score three goals in as many games before his red card.

“I am hoping he will carry on where he left of against West Ham before his chances of playing for us were curtailed,” said Hodgson.

“I’m certain he’ll be looking forward to going back to Aston Villa where he had so much success. He is in a good vein of form so that will help us get back to the results we had before the last one.”
