How we expect Liverpool to line up against Watford

L

iverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says there is a slim chance Trent Alexander-Arnold could be involved against Watford tomorrow after a swift recovery from a hamstring problem.

The right-back suffered the problem ahead of last month’s FA Cup tie at Nottingham Forest, ruling him out of England duty during the international break.

It was initially said Alexander-Arnold will be out “for weeks”, putting his participation in the upcoming Champions League clash with Benfica and the title showdown with Manchester City also in doubt.

However, the Reds boss issued a positive update on Friday, confirming the defender is back in full training.

In his place, Joe Gomez deputised at the City Ground and the defender should continue at Anfield against Watford, with Alexander-Arnold unlikely to be ready to start.

James Milner is expected to be fit to face the Hornets after illness kept him out of action for a spell last month, while Naby Keita is a doubt due to a knee injury.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
