How we expect Tottenham to line up against Leeds

The Spurs head coach was hoping Hojbjerg would be able to train on Friday after missing both of Denmark’s World Cup qualifiers, likely leaving one midfield spot for Tanguy Ndombele or Skipp. Conte was unsure on Lo Celso, who returned to the club with a knock on Thursday.

Until Ndombele can show he is capable of playing Conte’s highly-structured possession game, Harry Winks may be the preferred option in midfield.

Cristian Romero will definitely miss the match with a hamstring strain picked up in Argentina’s 0-0 draw with Brazil on Tuesday night, so Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon will all be hoping to deputise.

Sanchez is the most experienced option, which may give him the edge to start on the right of the back three.

Elsewhere, Conte is likely to stick with the players who started his first two games in charge, although he has more options after Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil returned to training.

Tottenham probable XI (3-4-3): Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Royal, Hojbjerg, Winks, Reguilon; Lucas, Son, Kane.
