How we expect Tottenham to line-up against Liverpool today

ose Mourinho can be expected to stick with a familiar XI for tonight’s showdown against Liverpool, with Japhet Tanganga Tottenham’s only new injury concern.

Right-back and right wing look the least secure positions in Mourinho’s preferred XI but Gareth Bale is a doubt after an illness, so Steven Bergwijn is expected to keep his place, while Serge Aurier has established himself ahead of Matt Doherty for now.

Tanganga made his league debut against Liverpool last season but is expected to miss the next two to three weeks with a shoulder problem, while Erik Lamela remains sidelined with an achilles complaint.

Predicted Spurs XI (4-3-3): Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Ndombele; Son, Bergwijn, Kane.

Tottenham squad from: Lloris, Hart, Gazzaniga, Whiteman, Doherty, Aurier, Rodon, Alderweireld, Davies, Reguilon, Dier, Sanchez, Winks, Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Dele, Clarke, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bale, Lucas, Son, Bergwijn, Vinicius, Kane.

Injured: Lamela (achilles), Tanganga (shoulder)

Last meeting: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
