How we expect West Ham to line up against Liverpool

D

avid Moyes says his West Ham squad is being tested due to their packed schedule but insists that he has confidence in the depth available this season.

The Hammers are still fighting on three fronts, sitting fourth in the Premier League having also knocked both Manchester clubs out of the Carabao Cup and qualified from their group in the Europa League.

West Ham have lost two of their three games directly following European nights this term but did beat London rivals Tottenham in their last Premier League fixture following a Thursday evening match.

The challenges are coming thick and fast and after drawing with Genk in Belgium on Thursday, Liverpool now await at home this Sunday.

“We are getting tested at the moment because we’re having regular games and we lost a couple of players in midweek through small niggles, nothing serious but that limited us a little bit,” said Moyes.

“It can easily happen but at the moment we’ve got a pretty strong squad and anyone who has come in has done a good job.”

Andriy Yarmolenko and Nikola Vlasic were both left at home for the Europa League meeting with Genk on Thursday and will be assessed ahead of Liverpool.

“At the moment we seem okay,” said Moyes. “Yarmolenko had a little bit of an injury before we left, Vlasic as well, so we’ll see how they are.”

West Ham predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Coufal, Ogbonna, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Benrahma, Fornals; Antonio
