How we expect West Ham to line up vs Man United

David Moyes’s side, who are six points behind their hosts with a game in hand, will already be without Jesse Lingard, with the 28-year-old loanee ineligible to face his parent club.

Asked about any fresh injury worries, Moyes said: “We’ve got a couple of slight doubts behind the scenes on a couple of players. I am hoping they will be okay, I won’t know until tomorrow so that is something that I am nursing behind the scenes. It could be that they’re all okay, it might be that they’re not.”

Lingard has four goals and two assists in six games since joining the Hammers in January, and Moyes knows West Ham face a challenge to replace the England international this evening.

“A big loss because he has had a big impact on the team and how we have played,” said Moyes. “He has been a positive signing for us since coming in in January so it is a loss to us but we have got other people.

“What we wanted was competition for places, sort of around the number 11 and number ten roles, we wanted good competition and Jesse has given us that but we have other people who can do that so hopefully we can go there and show them what we can do.”
