How we predict Arsenal will line-up against Southampton today

ikel Arteta is likely to make several changes to the Arsenal side which was knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton at the weekend as they meet the same opponents this evening.

The Gunners are travelling to Southampton again on Tuesday, this time in the Premier League, and will be hoping to bounce back from the weekend’s loss.

Arteta made seven changes for that fourth round tie and he should make a similar number on Tuesday.

Kieran Tierney is struggling with a calf issue but Arteta will hope he can return to the team, while David Luiz is also another who should come back into the side.

In midfield, Thomas Partey is primed to start and ahead of him Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are expected to play.

Gabriel Martinelli could well start on the left wing as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been ruled out due to “personal family reasons”.

Alexandre Lacazette is expected to come in for Eddie Nketiah to lead the attack. Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari have been struggling with calf issues and will not be fit in time.

Arsenal predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Luiz, Tierney; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Smith Rowe, Martinelli; Lacazette
