Hudson-Odoi grabbed a goal and an assist in England Under-21’s 3-1 win over Andorra in the U21 European Championship qualifiers on Friday.
The 20-year-old’s cross from the left flank was turned in by Liverpool’s Curtis Jones in the first half and he scored the fourth goal of the evening from the penalty spot on 65 minutes.
Hudson-Odoi has scored 10 goals in 70 appearances for Chelsea and has won three caps for the senior England team under manager Gareth Southgate.
But the winger is not in Southgate’s current plans and has managed just four starts in all competitions for the Blues this season.
Hudson-Odoi suffered an Achilles tendon injury in April last year and admits he is still on a journey to rediscover his best form.
But his goal-and-assist display for the Young Lions showed his intent and he told BT Sport : “Of course you want to be in the senior team.
